Subarna Basnet

Subarna joined MIT in 2011, initially as the director of Design Science, Technology & Innovation in MIT’s International Design Center; he became a Catalyst in 2021. Prior to MIT, Subarna was a mechanical design engineer at the Bose Corporation and has held various industry positions involving innovation and design. Subarna has a BE in mechanical engineering from IIT, India, an MS in mechanical engineering from Manhattan College Riverdale, NY and a PhD in mechanical engineering from MIT.
